Umbrella or dome: what changed in the AI image
What happens when an umbrella is described as a grey dome? In a saved Speakasso test from 22 September 2026, AI drew an architectural dome. Compare two descriptions of Paris Street; Rainy Day and their images. The judging procedure and test limitations are explained below.
A rainy street: an ambiguous description

The original test round was voided because the test reached its request limit before judging. The saved images were judged separately. These are replay scores; penalties were carried over, not recalculated.

Description 1
Мужчина в цилиндре и женщина справа под серым куполом. Слева мокрая мостовая и высокие дома. В центре зеленый фонарь.
English translation: A man in a top hat and a woman on the right under a grey dome. On the left, wet paving and tall buildings. A green streetlamp in the centre.
Visual score: 20. Penalty: 0. Final score: 20.
The output contains an architectural dome rather than an umbrella. The people stand on opposite sides of a bright lamp. “Dome” is ambiguous here; one generation cannot establish that this word caused every difference.

Description 2
Улица после дождя. Справа пара под зонтом. Серое небо и большие дома. Зеленый фонарь в центре.
English translation: A street after rain. On the right, a couple under an umbrella. A grey sky and large buildings. A green streetlamp in the centre.
Visual score: 40. Penalty: 45. Final score: 0.
The umbrella appeared and the couple is on the right. But they face away, with modern cars and a photographic treatment added. The description does not specify gaze direction, period or a painterly medium.
